Paradise Hills is a hilly community in southeast San Diego which encompasses Lomita, Skyline, South Bay Terraces, North Bay Terraces, Jamicha and Paradise Hills. Children's education is supplemented by the Paradise Hills Branch Library, which is on the verge of being quadrupled in size and upgraded to meet new technological standards. Kids also have the opportunity to participate in organized sports in the area, as well as Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.

Paradise Hills residents are near to several commercial and business centers, making trips to work and to do everyday shopping simple and convenient. Both large retail stores and small mom and pop shops are at home here. Those who commute to work have about a 20 minute trip into downtown San Diego, or shorter trips to other commercial centers nearby.

Paradise Creek runs nearby, leading right into the San Diego Bay.
