Ross Real Estate

North of California, across the Golden Gate Bridge and north of Mill Valley, is the small town of Ross. Buying a home in Ross will put you in an upscale neighborhood surrounded by the rolling green hills of Marin County. Ross is within driving distance of the water, San Francisco, wine country, and has easy access to many outdoor activities such as mountain biking, road biking, and hiking. The town is only 1.6 square-miles, and the 2002 census found that it has over 2,300 residents.

It's a small town that attracts families, and the median age of residents is 42.5. According to the 2000 census, the median income for a household in Ross is $102,015. While properties do not sell often, the most recent average price available (February 2006) sold was $1.5 million.

The small schools in the town are excellent. The Ross high school has 400 students, and the low student-teacher ratio of 1:13. According to Yahoo! Real Estate School profiles, 99% of Ross high school seniors graduate, and 92% of those graduates go on to pursue higher education options.

Living in Ross is a luxury few can afford, but if you have the means this town is a wonderful place to live. Its proximity to the natural beauty of Marin County, San Pablo Bay, wine country, and the cultural activities of San Francisco only add to Ross' many attractive attributes.
