The town is also known for its beautiful municipal parks, specifically Pleasanton Ridge Regional Park, which offers citizens a chance to take advantage of the area's great weather that makes outdoor activities possible throughout the year.

Pleasanton is a place that is popular with families, but it is also a great place for singles, couples, and senior citizens. The school system makes buying a home in Pleasanton even more attractive. The two high schools in Pleasanton, Amador Valley and Foothill, have a low student-teacher ratio of 1:23. According to Yahoo!, an average of 98% of seniors graduate from these two schools, and an average of 94% of those graduates go on to pursue higher education opportunities.
