Pacifica Real Estate

12 miles south of San Francisco, on the coast of the Pacific is Pacifica, which means “peace” in Spanish. The weather in Pacifica is almost the opposite of that in San Francisco, with mild winters and cool and foggy summers. This community-oriented town has just over 40,000 residents. There is no central downtown in Pacifica, but there are a number of strip malls and shopping centers, and most have beautiful views of the city.

Buying a home in Pacifica will put you near one of the greatest cities in the country, San Francisco. However, living in Pacifica will provide you with the opportunity to be part of a growing and changing town with a number of shops, restaurants, business, and access to outdoor activities (especially great surfing and wind surfing).

Overall, real estate in Pacifica is well maintained and yards are manicured, homes are kept-up, and neighborhoods are friendly and very safe. There are also a variety of home options for prospective homeowners in Pacifica, from condominiums to smaller homes to large mansions. In 2005 the average sales price for a Pacifica home was $678,597; that price decreased marginally to $677,096 in February 2006.
