Diablo Real Estate

At the base of Mt. Diablo lies the town of Diablo, a small town in the eastern part of Contra Costa County. The town is only one square mile and has about 1,000 residents. The East Bay has a lot to offer people looking to escape big city life. In fact, the East Bay is now the most densely populated region in the Bay Area. Mt. Diablo offers a number of activities to Diablo residents and weekenders: hiking, camping, mountain biking, road biking, and relaxing.

The 2000 census found that Diablo residents are some of the wealthiest in the state. The median household income in Diablo is a little under $200,000. Home prices in Diablo are high, and sales are few and far between. However, history shows that buying a home in Diablo is a good investment as values have increased in the last few years. The average home price in February 2006 was $1.75 million.

The school system is served by Mt. Diablo Unified School District, K-12 public school district located in Concord, California.
